Equipping for Missions
author Daniel W. Bacon
This is a relatively short guide to preparing for missions service written by a respected mission agency leader.
Equipping for Missions views the local church as having an important role in the development and sending of missionaries; but the sending agency is the “implementing authority” in the chain. It is written in a workbook style with room for answers to question items.
This book is intended for use by the individual who feels called to missions and has lots of practical facts and advice as to how to proceed to fulfill that calling.
It is a useful tool as a starter. It should be supplemented with lots of other study and specialty training with more emphasis on the role of local church leaders in guiding and directing the equipping (and sending!) process.
