Doing less better by sending out fewer.

Propempo has been instrumental in helping our church grow our focus by raising up and sending out a church based church planting team. That's right, I said grow our focus, which sounds like an oxymoron. What I mean is, based on the resources and coaching from Propempo, we've been able to shepherd our church more and more toward the focused efforts of praying for, paying for, and sending out of home grown elder qualified men and their families with the intentions of planting churches among unreached peoples. Thank you Propempo for your investment in Christ's bride and her intimate involvement in the mission of her husband to reach the nations!

Great help in time of need and confusion

Propempo was a great help to me as I was setting up my 501(c)3 non-profit. As I ran into some questions from the IRS, David's advice was instrumental in resolving the issue and getting approved by the IRS. May God continue to bless this organisation and use it to be a blessed resources for those who are serving Jesus!

Tasked to identify a new area of missions focus for our church, our committee members were overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin, so we contacted Propempo for help. David corresponded with us by email and telephone, answering our questions and suggesting books and resources to help us through the process. After a few months of study and preparation by our committee, David traveled to our city to conduct a series of meetings with us. He discussed with us what we had learned and helped us to apply it to the unique characteristics of our church. He encouraged us in some areas and cautioned us in others. After these meetings, our committee was far more clear on what we needed to do to proceed. As the process of choosing an area of focus continues, David is available to consult with us as questions arise. I believe that the ministry of Propempo to our church will bear much fruit for the kingdom!

What happens after a Propempo training

Here's how one small church plant in Alabama responded to a "how are you doing in missions" inquiry, after their outreach staff guy attended a Propempo training—

First of all, Jeff H. our missions pastor is doing an awesome job! The Lord has definitely made him for his job!!!

Secondly our churches visions for mission is about to explode! We challenged our church to spend one week of 2015 in a cross cultural missions context! We modeled it after David Platt/Church of Brookhills 2% challenge. The Lord has blessed it mightily!!!

We just commissioned 9 people from our church to go to Ecuador for a week!! They leave Saturday!!!

We have 3 possibly 4 people signed up to go to Kenya in July.

We have 5 signed up to go to Clarkston Ga in June.

We have 2 going to Thailand in June.

One going to Nigeria in Aug.

There are only 38 adults in our congregation lol!!!

Please keep us in prayer as Jeff coordinates all this and as people raise their support.

As our newly-planted church began to realize the need to establish a missions strategy and program at our church, we knew we needed someone with wisdom and experience to help us think through the issues and aim our church in the right missions direction. By God's grace, He made us aware of David, and David gracoiusly came to our help. Meeting with our Elders and other key men, David counseld us and laid out for us a strategy for develpoing a missions program that would be focused like a rifle, rather than scattered and diminished in impact like a shotgun shooting in so many directions. It was invaluable to have David aim us in the right direction and give us the reassurance that investing our time, focus, and resources on a few key missionaries and mission projects would not only be more fruitful for missions, but more beneficial to our church. That has proven to be exactly the case. We thank the Lord for the way God used David and Propempo Missions to shape our thinking and our missions strategy. The payoff has already been huge in just a few short years of such an approach. Our church is engaged, invested, and bearing fruit, and the missions projects we are attached to have been greatly impacted. What else could we ask for? God is good.
