Here’s my quick thoughts about the top four things churches should do, but often don’t do:

  1. seek to produce missionaries from their congregation

  2. take responsibility to equip them for ministry & guide decisions about choosing a missions agency, field, and ministry

  3. shepherd and hold them accountable

  4. lavishly love & support them in such a way that they can serve free of unavoidable stress
