Having learned language, culture and ministry among a people group enables a variety of future ministries back home. Upon return, missionaries can help reach similar peoples in the city and on the campus. They can participate in national networks that work stateside to advance missions efforts among the same or similar people groups on the field. They can assist their churches in strategizing for missions, and recruiting and preparing future missionaries. They can also assist their mission agencies’ home offices in areas such as hospitality, missionary preparation, and strategy for future ministry. Some missionaries who have returned home assume missions teaching positions in colleges and seminaries.
