Several choices in ministry will spread ownership of the ministry widely.

From the beginning, conduct ministry in a way that prepares nationals for leadership. Work in the background mentoring them to assume public and leadership roles. Work in submission to the national church’s vision if a national evangelical church exists.

Partner with as many other missionaries and mission agencies as possible. Determine if and where your agency’s vision intersects with other agencies. If you share a common vision, at least work in a way that does not overlap ministry tasks and needlessly spends money to do the same ministry. At best, form interagency teams and confer regularly to accomplish the ministry together.

Partner with your team’s supporting churches. They bring resources to the table that will enhance and expand the ministry.
