If you have a desire for involvement in missions, and you don't think your church is doing enough in missions, please don't just "start doing things" to try and get the leadership to "get on board with missions." Your impact will be much greater if you are patient to come alongside and help them develop a sound missions ministry. DO keep learning yourself. Stay humble and teachable. Walk with God in His Word. Share your faith with others. Get your church leaders in touch with Propempo to equip and resource them for their leadership of the church in missions.
In time, prayerfully, talk about your desire to see missions have a vital role in your church's vision. Your church leaders "keep watch over your soul (Hebl 13)." We realize that many times a pastor or elders just don't know what exactly to do; or are already very busy, and if you start offering your ideas in humility - get ready! - they may ask you to start "doing things"! If you are not involved in some kind of service/ministry in the local church, you need to start there with the church's guidance - start serving with a humble attitude.
